Choir

Under the direction of our Principal tutor and Musical Director Helen Ingham our choir has constantly won many awards and received critical acclaim since first formed in 2011. They have enjoyed sensational results at both Barnsley Youth Music & Drama Festival and Penistone Music Festival.

The members are chosen from students taking lessons at Real Music Centre, to be invited to perform in the choir is a demonstration of their quality, ability and commitment. There is no charge to be in the choir however if the invitation is accepted members are required to attend all rehearsals.

Our busy schedule means that the choir does not perform as often as we would like, concentrating on the Festivals and our own very popular Christmas Concert which usually sells out in 2 days of being announced. This concert provides a platform for students of all ages to perform solo and in the choir to an audience of around 220 at a local theatre.

We would very much like to expand the choir and perform at charitable events throughout the area, this we hope to do at some point in the future as time allows. Well done to all members past and present for making the choir an acknowledged success.
